I have really wanted a big chalkboard in our house to write quotes, notes, and fun things for the holidays. I found this the other day at a yard sale and loved how big and chunky the frame was, and loved the size of the actual picture.
I used a can of Rust-oleum Chalkboard Spray paint on the canvas
PLUS
a can of this Rust-oleum gold pray paint, distressed the edges a bit with distressing ink…
and now I have a chalkboard, just in time for my baby’s birthday. I’m still in shock she is going to be 1, it really doesn’t seem possible!
Have you seen these chalkboard signs online? I just googled “first birthday chalkboard signs” and a TON of different variations came up. I am going to try and recreate it for tomorrow, I think they are so cute.
Thanks for sticking with me this week as I have shared some of my projects from National Painting Week! Sherwin-Williams is offering 30% off this weekend if you have been inspired to do some painting of your own. Have a great day!!
