DIYing can be a painfully slow process at times and sometimes it’s easy to forget where you began. I love looking at before pictures of our house because it’s a good reminder of where we started and how far we have come. Today I wanted to share with you our living room progress. It’s not completely finished, we still have more projects to do, but it’s come a long way.
Here is the before:
And the AFTER!
One of the biggest projects in this room was removing the popcorn ceiling. It has made a world of difference in updating our home and in brightening the room up. We painted the walls Accessible Beige by Sherwin-Williams and the fireplace and paneling behind it White Dove by Benjamin Moore. We also got new carpet and now it feels like a completely different room than it was a year ago.
The next project on our list is to add built-ins to each side of the fireplace. The bookshelves are temporary and will hopefully be gone within the next couple of weeks. I can’t wait until they are done!
To celebrate our progress so far, I am teaming up with CanvasPop to give one lucky winner a 16×20 framed photo paper print! I received mine last week and love how it looks in our living room. The best part? I took this picture with my phone at my brother-in-laws wedding and the resolution looks amazing even after being blown up. Each image is printed on premium fine arts paper which results in a crisp, high quality and detailed image print. You also have the choice of matting your print with a 2.5” white mat and choosing a frame in white, black or espresso – over a $200 value!
To win one of these beautiful prints, click on the image below and enter your email. It’s super easy and fast.
If you would like to order a canvas or print, CanvasPop is offering a 35% discount for Favorite Paint Colors readers using the code FAVPAINT35. Expires November 30, 2015. Think Christmas gifts? They ship to the US, Canada, and EU.
Thanks so much for stopping by and good luck!!
