A couple of weeks ago I posted on my Instagram account that we had finally finished our laundry room and that yes, our house was up for sale. That’s the way it always seems to work. You get everything just the way you want and then you move on to something else, right? So when completing this room, I knew this wasn’t going to be our forever laundry room. That changed some of my plans and we definitely kept things much simpler, but this became one of my favorite projects for that reason.
Here are a couple of before pictures…
This was when we first bought the house…
Here is another picture taken a few months ago. Eek.
And tada! Here it is now…
We added a utility sink, painted the walls, put in new flooring and added some cute baskets and wall decorations, but overall it was a pretty simple project that could definitely be done in a weekend.
Our wall color is Sea Salt and the trim and doors are Alabaster, both by Sherwin-Williams. This room was kind of tricky to photograph and find a great paint color because it has no natural light, but Sea Salt brightened the room right up and was a perfect choice for such a dark room.
One of my favorite laundry quotes…
We found this laminate flooring at Lowe’s. It was a great price and I really love the color. It was super easy to install, has a good texture, and it also hides a lot of dirt. So far I have really loved it.
A couple of cute cleaning quotes from Target’s Dollar Spot with handmade hooks I made a couple of years ago and had laying around. We were originally going to put cabinets up and a clothes rod to hang laundry on, but I really tried to use things we had on hand.
It’s kind of crazy that this is it…we are done with renovations in our home. It feels so nice to be finished with projects here. I will have a complete before and after house tour coming up soon, along with a complete list of paint colors. Thank you so much for sticking with me through this all and for stopping by Favorite Paint Colors. I am truly grateful for you. I hope you have a beautiful day!
