I have a problem. My paint sample collection is getting out of control.
I have 54 sample containers sitting in our basement!
Why do I have so many? Welllll, I’m slightly obsessed, and I feel like the best way to get the color you want and love, you HAVE to SAMPLE. Every home/space has different lighting, color tones, wood tones, carpet, etc. and even if I recommend a color for someone to use, I always urge them to sample before they make the final decision because of the factors I just mentioned.
Here are a few examples of my endless sampling. It might explain why I have so many!
If any of you have tried to get samples recently, you probably have found they are not very easy to obtain anymore. Sherwin-Williams stopped carrying samples during Covid and currently do not sell the sample size containers. You have to buy a quart of paint which ranges from $21-$44. That can get pretty expensive if you have to buy more than one sample. My Home Depot and Lowe’s are a good 20-30 minute drive one way, depending on traffic. My Benjamin Moore is often out of the base colors I am needing. So it’s a major pain right now.
I was thrilled when I was contacted by a company called Samplize to become an affiliate (I receive a small portion of the product I sell) because I feel like it solved the sample worries I previously mentioned. It is the absolute best and easiest way to sample paint, and Samplize makes so much sense. I am on board 100 percent of the way because it is a product that can truly HELP anyone who is starting a painting project that needs paint samples but doesn’t want to leave the comfort of their home. Let me explain.
What Is Samplize?
It’s a peel and stick product that is painted with two coats of real paint from FOUR major paint brands: Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, Farrow and Ball, and PPG. It’s genius and my new favorite way to sample paint. It is a product I wish I would have thought of myself.
Here are a few reasons I LOVE Samplize:
1. Very Accurate
As I mentioned earlier, Samplize is painted with two coats of REAL paint. This means it’s extremely accurate, and not artificially dyed (like what you find on small paint swatches from the paint store.) I ordered a sample of Agreeable Gray (which is used in our powder room and mudroom – see more info here) and you can’t even see Samplize when placed on my wall. It’s amazing! See the picture below.
2. Easy to Use
Samplize comes with a sticky back you peel off and then stick the sample on your wall. You can pull it off and on multiple times to make sure that you see it in every space and lighting you want. It is the easiest way to sample paint.
3. No Mess
I love that you don’t have to worry about cleaning paint brushes or cleaning up drips and messes.
4. Storage is Easy Peasy
When done with Samplize, I stick it back on the sheet it came on and then store it away in a folder for when I might need it next. You can also throw it away if you feel like you won’t use that particular color again.
5. *Next Day Delivery
I have ordered multiple samples of Samplize over the last few months and each time I have received my samples the next day. The samples are shipped overnight via FedEx. It takes out the waiting game.
(*some areas may experience a delay in delivery. I live in Montana and have always received the next day. I hope you will too!)
6. Inexpensive
Samplize costs 5.95 and shipping is only $5 whether you buy one or 10 samples. They have different promotions that also help you get more of a discount. Right now when you buy 7 samples you get the 8th free.
Here is a quick review of me using Samplize in my own home.
