Okay, friends. We are getting so close I can hardly believe it. This last month has seemed to take forever. The only thing I can compare it to is the last month of pregnancy. You know you are so close but you know you’re not quite there and you are soo ready to be done. Sound familiar? Our move in date is November 11th and I can hardly wait. We are working on getting the stairs in, countertops, and then carpet. Once those are completed we will be ready! We have a lot of detail work still but will continue to work on the that when we are in the house.
As you can see from the picture below our front door is in and I love it. We are still working on the front porch area, but are hoping to have it completely caulked and painted by the end of the weekend. I am going to paint the two white trim boards between the door and the windows the same color as the door, and trying to decide if I paint the outside trim the same color as well. I guess I’ll see how it looks.
Today I wanted to show you some front door inspiration I used when picking out our exterior door. I have been so happy with our choice and wanted to share it with you.
The front door paint color we chose for our exterior is Web Gray by Sherwin-Williams at 150%. It was my first choice and I love it. I didn’t even sample other colors, which makes me so happy when I get it right the very first time. It’s got the perfect mix of blue and gray and I love it against the white. Oh, and my $1 Halloween mat from last year’s Target clearance. 🙂
These other doors make my eyes drool. I love all of them and hope you can find some inspiration for yourself if you are looking for a new door, paint color, or just exterior decorating ideas. As you will see I love the farmhouse doors with the big pane windows. I also love dark charcoal colors right now, so there are a few of those. I hope you enjoy!
Rock Bottom by Sherwin-Williams
You can never go wrong with Chip and Jo’s choices. I love them and this door.
Urbane Bronze by Sherwin-Williams
Wrought Iron by Benjamin Moore
This door is obviously stained, but the trim is White Dove by Benjamin Moore and the exterior body is Dovetail by Sherwin-Williams. The contrast of colors is stunning. See more of this beautiful house here.
This color is perfection. Downpipe by Farrow and Ball.
Elephant Ear by Sherwin-Williams
This red against the white …so lovely. I’m not sure of the exact color of the door, but a close match would be Habanero Chile by Sherwin-Williams.
Love any of these colors? Order a sample here and have it delivered right to your door.
