Happy Valentine’s Day! Today is the best day to tell you all about the perfect pink paint color. When building our house, my daughter really wanted a pink room. I love pink, and I have seen so many beautiful shades that are soft, calming, and really make the whole room.
I have also seen pink paint colors that are overbearing, loud, and give everything else in the room a pink tint. Yuck. Not so pretty. So today, if you in search for that perfect pink paint color, this post is for you.
When I was deciding on a color for my daughter, I made a list of my top pink paint colors, and decided to sample some. In the mean time, I went down to the Utah Valley Parade of Homes and fell in love with a color that was on the tour. When I walked in the room with my Mom and sisters, we all commented on the beautiful paint color. Now, this lighting is not great…the room was in the basement and had no natural light, so it’s hard to see the true color, but this is the paint I fell in love with.
I found out it was Tissue Pink by Benjamin Moore at 50% strength. When I got home I sampled a few of my favorite shades of pink to see how they compared. Here they are…
When looking at the samples, I actually liked White Dogwood the best, Tissue Pink was definitely more “peachy”, but I liked that it was a warm pink and would be easy to pair with white or gold.
Painted on the walls, it wasn’t a stark pink. It was warm, not too bright, and had just the right amount of color. Pink is so hard because when I looked at the actual paint of Tissue Pink, it almost looked white. But when we started painting, we had our electric guys that kept saying, “WHOA, that’s one pink room!” Haha. But once we got everything in and the trim done, it looked amazing.
We are still working on our daughter’s bedroom, adding all of the details and the finishing touches, but I wanted to give you a preview, because I really love this color. Tissue Pink looks great in all lights and has never looked peachy to me. It’s the perfect pink paint color.
To save for later, here are my top 5 pink paint colors with some ideas of how they look in other rooms.
