Update: I was planning on posting this prior to the Maui Wildfire devastation, but never got around to it. As I’m looking back at these memories now, my heart is hurting for all of those who have lost properties and lives. It really is unimaginable. Maui is one of the most beautiful and loving places I have visited and have no doubt that the people will rebuild even stronger. It will forever hold a special place in my heart.
A few months ago Jason and I were able to get away from life and visit the wonderful island of Maui. It was a dream vacation and one I would do over again in a minute. We snorkeled, watched the sunrise and rode our bikes down Haleakala, ate at the most amazing restaurants (Mama’s Fish House and Lahaina Grill being my very favorites), went fishing, ran along the beach, and soaked up the beautiful Hawaiian sun while chilling on the sand.
We stayed in Kaanapali at the Marriott Vacation Club villas. It’s an amazing resort and one I highly recommend to anyone visiting. My eye always notices paint and I loved the palette that Marriott chose for their villas, so I asked the front desk and they gave it to me. Magic. I wanted to share with you some pictures of the room and this color palette all the way from Maui. Enjoy!

And a few memories from our trip…
The sunsets were incredible. We were on the west side of the island and got treated to this every night.
At the Marriott Beach Villas – the property is amazing. The best part is you can snorkel right off the property and see some really cool fish. It’s actually the best snorkeling I’ve done anywhere. We saw turtles, tropical fish, an octopus and whales.
Lahaina- the cutest town. We ate at the Lahaina Grill as I mentioned above and walked around Front Street. This 150 year old Banyan tree is the oldest on the island and MASSIVE.
For those of you who have been to Maui know it’s charm. I’m very thankful for the memories we were able to make while there.
